The story started with two travellers, a double decker bus and years exploring and is now at the chapter when the two travellers decide to share something they loving created with the world.

Kerry is the heart of the company, having spent years refining the botanical blends of each small batch. This is supported by formal distilling training at the University of Adelaide. She is most at home in the remote outback and has captured this feeling with her use of native botanicals. She is gentle in her approach and takes pride in her work - nothing but the best makes it into the bottles!

Mark is the social butterfly, providing the business knowledge and strong understanding of the local history of the Goldfields as the compass that guides Argus Tuft forward. Made famous by his 1982 appearance (and win!) on Sale of the Century, he’s no stranger to networking and getting the Argus Tuft name out there. Mark manages the functional aspects of distilling and bottling at their Bendigo-based distillery.

Who we are

Why Argus Tuft?

Argus: A many-eyed Greek mythological giant known for his perpetual vigilance. He was employed by Hera as a guard  but was slain by Hermes. Afterward, Hera transferred his eyes to the tail of the peacock.

Tuft: The unruly rebellious piece of hair that won't fall into line.

Together, Argus Tuft! An Australian classic.
